Medifly's production facilities consist of two clean rooms both classified as ISO8: one dedicated to the manufacturing of tubes and the other for the production of medical devices.

From 1975 to now

Our history

1975

Our experience with plastics dates back to 1975, coinciding with the rise of the biomedical sector, an internationally recognized excellence in Mirandola.

Through the design and prototyping of products such as tubes, molded components, containers, and filters, we began our journey with plastics, exploring their characteristics and applications. Over the years, our expertise in the medical sector, where we started, has been consolidated and expanded. We have developed and implemented projects for disposable medical devices.

1975

1981

In 1981, our company was founded and immediately obtained authorization from the Ministry of Health as a manufacturing facility.

Our knowledge of the medical field allowed us to bring new ideas to life, design and test various types of medical devices, coordinate production in clean rooms, and provide direct technical support in hospital departments. During those years, we implemented and coordinated a quality management system and began drafting technical dossiers for our medical devices, obtaining CE marking and subsequently launching our products on the market. Before long, we established a strong sales network through distributors across Italy and Europe.

1987

Meanwhile, Medifly expanded to manage seven extrusion lines, ten injection molding lines, and three blow molding lines. It is in this context that we developed and deepened our extensive expertise in the knowledge and processing of most types of plastics.

Since the 1980s, Medifly has been committed to the daily transformation of materials, with all production fully carried out in Italy, following a meticulous quality management system certified according to UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 standards.

2000

Starting in the early 2000s, Medifly deeply specialized in extrusion technology and consolidated its presence in multiple sectors: medical, industrial (including automotive and pneumatics), food and beverage (including the transport and delivery of milk), and dental, where it is one of the three main Italian producers. The company also expanded into highly specialized sectors, such as the funeral industry, designing and producing biodegradable tubes for the creation of radiant plates for funeral art.

Despite being a well-established company, Medifly continues to focus on growth through a robust network of investments and goals:

Since 2017, following the principles of industrial automation, Medifly has implemented an Industry 4.0 IT system on its extrusion and rewinding lines to increase productivity and product quality while ensuring better traceability of its products.
The company strongly believes in its know-how, which is why it holds eight registered trademarks.
It participates annually in numerous industry trade fairs.
Medifly operates in over 10 different industrial sectors.
It is constantly searching for innovative materials to use in new industrial sectors.
The company specializes in the study and processing of innovative plastics, co-extrusions, and the customization of its products.

2024

Improvement of planning, production, and warehouse management through Industrialization 5.0, with the support of an MES (Manufacturing Execution System) that, using real-time data, will guide and synchronize the activities of the plant and various production departments. Medifly is committed to a greener future by optimizing its energy system and expanding the coverage of solar panels, with the goal of becoming an increasingly eco-sustainable company with a lower environmental impact.
